Adopt a Beach

Want to volunteer to take care of your favorite mile along Volusia County ’s coastline?

The Adopt a Beach program is a great way to do your part in keeping Volusia County ’s beaches clean. A clean beach is not only pleasant for us, but safer for beach wildlife, too! With support and supplies, adopters (families, companies, organizations) clean their mile at least four times a year.

Even though all miles are currently adopted, Environmental Management encourages groups and individuals to conduct one-time cleanups at any location of their choice. Please contact Nicole Weiss to notify her of your one-time cleanup and get tips and reminders for planning a one-time event. Thank you for your interest in keeping our beaches clean and safe!
