Recycling drop-off sites

Recycling drop-off centers are located throughout the county at county fire stations and solid waste management facilities. Residents may recycle their used motor oil in the white "igloo" drop-off containers.

Dual-sort recycling toters are located here, too.

Residents may recycle mixed paper such as:

  • Newspapers (bags and strings removed)
  • Inserts that come w/newspapers, such as comics, glossy coupons, TV/magazine sections & colored food/store ads
  • Store fliers w/mailing labels
  • Writing/school paper
  • All envelopes (windowed too)
  • Copy paper
  • Magazines (all types)
  • Catalogs (all types)
  • Junk mail
  • Phone books
  • Mixed office paper
  • Heavy weight folders
  • Shredded paper
  • Paperback books
  • Hardcover books w/hard covers removed
  • Non-metallic gift wrap
  • Greeting cards
  • Brown bags
  • Paper towel and toilet paper rolls
  • Pizza boxes (remove liner and all food debris)
  • Cardboard (please cut or flatten to 2’ x 2’ pieces)
  • Corrugated cardboard (please cut or flatten to 2' x 2' pieces)
  • Chipboard and boxboard boxes including (broken down please):
    • cereal
    • cookie
    • pasta
    • cake
    • cracker
    • detergent (remove plastic liners)
    • gift
    • shoe
    • shirt
    • any retail boxes
    • Poster board & backing from writing pads also accepted
  • Juice boxes, milk, soy milk and broth containers 

In the co-mingled toters, residents may recycle:

  • Aluminum and Steel Containers
    • All aluminum and metal beverage and food cans and containers.
    • Aerosol cans also may be recycled, but be sure they are empty. Remove plastic tips and tops before recycling.
    • Bimetal cans
    • Clean aluminum foil and foil trays
  • Glass bottles (please remove all lids/tops)
    • Clear glass
    • Green glass
    • Amber/Brown glass
  • Plastic containers coded 1-7 (NO STYROFOAM® or PLASTIC BAGS)
    • Water bottles
    • Soda bottles
    • Milk containers
    • Juice bottles
    • Soap containers
    • Detergent, fabric softener bottles
    • Bleach containers
    • Shampoo, conditioner bottles
    • Yogurt, dairy and margarine tubs
