Brown, Jason, L. B/M (49) 07-11-60-VOP Reference to Battery (D.V.).  

V1 had been consuming alcohol, walked a half mile from his house with no shoes on, and called Central advising there were approximately twenty armed/masked men running around his neighborhood with black bears and fighting dogs who were stealing trees and bushes. V1 was sweating profusely, was unsteady on his feet, was acting very irrational, and it was obvious that without care and treatment he could not care for himself, was a danger to himself, and was likely to suffer from self neglect. He was Baker Acted and transported to Halifax Hospital. Case worked by Deputy J. Nunn.  

(R1) and his wife (V1) have been having marital problems over allegations of his infidelity. (V1) left home and went to the Howard Johnson Hotel to spend the night. While at the hotel (V1) called her husband (R1) and told him that she was going to commit suicide. It was determined that (V1) had been consuming alcohol and took an unknown quantity of Xanax. She stated it was with the intent to kill herself. She was Baker Acted and transported to Florida Hospital-Deland for medical clearance.  

(V1) Flemister, Peter B/M (48) 04-04-61 (S1) Nosavanh, Jonathan W/M (30) 09-08-79 Flemister and Nosavanh were drinking at Shark's Pub. Nosavanh became upset at Flemister because of an altercation that Flemister had had with Nosavanh's friend Don a month earlier. Nosavanh punched Flemister in the mouth causing an abrasion and chipping three of his teeth. Nosavanh was not able to be located. An affidavit was filed against him. Dayshift was notified of the case. Case worked by Deputy W. Armstrong.  

(V1) Wilkerson, Clifford, B. W/M (49) -Resident of burglarized house. (R1) Stephens, Heather (24) -House sitting for Wilkerson who is out of town. Entry was made through an unlocked rear door to the residence that was left ajar sometime between 1630 hours and 0100 hours. A Vizzio 55 inch HDTV, a Sony DVD recorder, a compound bow and case, and a Toshiba laptop computer were taken. The case was worked by Deputy J. Nunn. The case status is active.  

District Two deputies responded to a report of a brush fire along with the Fire Department. The fire was originally reported to be in the County area. It was later determined to be in the City of Deland and the Deland Police Department responded. An old vacant shed that was being torn down caught fire. The fire was extinguished by the Fire Department. There were no injuries and no other houses/structures were burned or damaged.  

Deputy Mott responded to a suspicious incident where an intoxicated male was banging on the RP's door. Deputy Mott approached with caution, on foot, using the garage as cover. A large German Shepherd dog came at Deputy Mott and bit him on the left leg/thigh area. The male banging on the door was subsequently arrested. Deputy Mott responded to Florida Hospital-Deland where he was treated and released for superficial puncture wounds. The Watch Commander-Lt. Hughes and the Assistant District Two Commander-Lt. Barrs were both notified. A First Report of Injury form was completed. Sergeant Nardiello responded to the hospital. Pictures were taken of the injury and the dog. Volusia County Animal Control was contacted and they will quarantine the dog on Friday.  

GAMMON, LORETTA (V1) DEPUTIES RESPONDED TO 1070 BUCKLES RD IN PIERSON REFERENCE TO A BURGLARY COMPLAINT. UPON ARRIVAL CONTACT WAS MADE WITH THE VICTIM WHO ADVISED THAT UNKNOWN PERSON(S) ENTERED HER SHED AND REMOVED SEVERAL ITEMS. THE VICTIM COULD NOT PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL LEADS OR SUSPECT INFORMATION.
