(V1) advised Deputies that (D1) was at his residence in violation of an active permanent injunction. (V1) has allowed (D1) to live at the residence until today when (D1) appeared to be intoxicated. (D1) was in violation of the injunction and subsequently arrested and transported to VCBJ without incident.
Deputies responded to the above location in reference to an injunction violation. It was determined there was an active permanent domestic violence injunction in place. (D1) was in violation of the injunction and subsequently arrested and transported to VCBJ without incident.
Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a death. Fred Taylor (V1) was discovered deceased in his computer room. There were no signs of foul play. Dr. Harmon advised that Dr. Faile would sign the death certificate. Taylor was removed by Cardwell/Lohman funeral home.
Scott Riley (D1) was arrested on two open/active Volusia County warrants re: 1) Sex battery on a helpless person 2) Sex battery-sexual activity with a minor. Riley was transported to VCBJ without incident. Investigator Davis (OBPD) responded to the area of the jail and served a DNA search warrant on Riley.
V1 reported she was attacked by her live-in boyfriend D1. V1 stated D1 grabbed her by the throat and pushed her on to the bed. D1 began choking V1 and applying enough pressure where she felt like she could no longer breathe. V1 stated D1 began to rip her T-shirt and then try and use the remaining parts of the shirt to choke her. V1 also stated D1 pulled her hair, removing large amounts from her scalp. V1 refused medical treatment. D1 was arrested for felony battery by strangulation (DV) and transported to the jail with no bond.
Deputy Webb observed a dark blue Chevy Mailbu committ several traffic violations. Deputy Webb turned on the vehicle to initiate a traffic stop which then fled the scene. The driver of the Malibu struck a curb causing the tire to deflate. Deputy Webb lost sight of the vehicle however he located it shortly after, abandoned on Peter Road near Janice. The vehicle was towed to D3 for processing. TTY notified DBPD to remove the vehicle from NCIC. The R/O was contacted and advised of the recovery.
V1 Marion Hobson, V2 Troy Gumm Unknown person(s) entered into 2 unlocked vehicles owned by V1 and V2 and removed misc. property from within. Vehicles were processed with negative results. Papers were collected from inside the vehicle for processing by CID. Connecting reports 10-8057, 8029.
V1 Bryan Bigwood, W1 Patricia Bigwood. W1 observed a 45-50 Year old WF (S1), with long reddish hair, 5'3 thin acting suspiciously near V1's vehicle. V1 discovered several items missing from within the vehicle. S1 fled the area in an older model SUV. Vehicle was processed with negative results. Misc papers collected for processing by CID. Continued to Deputy Flesch. Connecting reports 10-8030, 8029.
R1 Darcy McCorkle, O1 Kirstin McCorkle 6/8/95 ****Juvenile**** R1 flagged Deputy Dearborn to report her daughter O1 as missing. During the investigation, O1 returned home in good health. Closed.
V1 was found to be suffering from bed sores and possibly neglect of care by her care giver. CID was requested and responded. Inv. Hartsill with Adult Protective Services was contacted and responded to the hospital to conduct an investigation. Continued by CID.
KAISER, JULIE (V1) STATED HER 1999 GREEN SATURN AND 1999 WHITE JEEP WERE BURGLARIZED BY UNKNOWN PERSONS. INVESTIGATION OF THE INCIDENT REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: KAISER LAST OBSERVED THE VEHICLES INTACT ON 03/16/10 AT 1800 HOURS WHEN SHE ARRIVED HOME FROM WORK. KAISER AWOKE THE NEXT MORNING FOR WORK AND DISCOVERED THE TRUNK WAS OPEN TO THE GREEN SATURN AND ITEMS IN BOTH VEHICLES WERE THROWN ABOUT INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. KAISER STATED COINS WERE THE ONLY THING TAKEN OUT OF THE GREEN SATURN. KAISER STATED BOTH VEHICLES WERE LEFT UNSECURED THE NIGHT BEFORE. POSSIBLY RELATED TO VCSO 10-8030 WHICH WERE OTHER BURGLARIES ON 10TH ST DURING THE SAME TIME FRAME.
(V1) reported that he and (D1) were involved in a verbal argument. The argument escalated when D1 grabbed V1 by the throat and scratched him on the face. D1 was arrested for simple battery domestic violence and transported to VCBJ without incident.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop for unlawful speed. Deputy Eisen deployed his K-9 partner Gunner who gave two positives indications for the presence of narcotics. 38 Diazepam were located in a bottle with no prescription. Gerarado Ruiz (D1) was arrested and transported to VCBJ without incident.
Deputies were looking for a vehicle that fled from Ormond Beach P.D. Deputy Webb spotted the vehicle and attempted to stop it. The vehicle fled turning down Flomich St. to the dead end. The unknown driver bailed from the vehicle and fled on foot. Air one and K-9 units responded to the area and assisted in searching for the suspect. All search efforts were negative. The investigation revealed that the registered owner's brother lived in the Breakers Apartments. Deputy Webb contacted Troy Bernard (D1). Bernard indicated that he was not in the vehicle when it fled from Deputy Webb. Bernard was ultimately arrested for possession of Xanax and possession of narcotic paraphernalia. Bernard was transported to VCBJ without incident. The vehicle was towed to Universal with a hold for processing.
TWO TRAVEL TRAILERS THAT WERE PARKED AT THIS LOCATION WERE BROKEN INTO AND VANDALIZED SOMETIME DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. IN BOTH INSTANCES THE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS IN THE TRAILERS WERE DISCHARGED AND THE CONTENTS OF THE TRAILERS WERE THROWN AROUND. THERE ARE NO SUSPECTS AT THIS TIME.
Jarian Webb (D1) was arrested for violation of probation/community control which dictated Webb was to stay confined to an approved residence. Webb was transported to VCBJ without incident.
(R1) reported that (V1) has a history of depression and anger outbursts. It was determined that due to V1's violent outburts she was a danger to herself and others. V1 was Baker acted and transported to HBS.
(V1) reported that she and (D1) were involved in a verbal argument. The argument escalated when D1 smacked V1 on top of the head. As V1 screamed, D1 grabbed V1 by the hair. V1 ran from the room screaming for help. D1 caught V1 and put her in a headlock. D1 fled the scene prior to Deputies arriving on scene. D1 was later located, arrested and transported to VCBJ without incident.
Deputies assisted Holly Hill units with the apprehension of two Juveniles that had just burglarized a residence at the above address. The defendants were both turned over to Holly Hill units.
Deputies responded to the area assisting Holly Hill units in searching for subjects that had just stolen air conditioning units. Holly Hill units located the vehicle loaded with AC units and Cheryl Ferryman. The defendent was later located and secured by Deputies. Defendent was turned over to Holly Hill P.D.
Stanley Campbell (D1) was arrested on two open/active Lake County warrants. Warrant number 1, re: Ct1-FTA Poss. Cocaine Ct2-Poss. Cannabis u/20 Ct3-poss. drug paraphernalia. Warrant number 2, re:Ct1-DWLSR Ct2-Poss. Cannabis u/20. Campbell was currently incarcerated at VCBJ.
While conducting an EP, Sergeant Savercool located the stolen white 1998 Chevy Cavalier (CA tag #3XTN232) backed into a parking space on the east side of the motel. The vehicle was unoccupied and motel staff could not advise which room it belonged to because they don't require vehicles to be registered. OBPD handled the original case so, at their request, the vehicle was towed by Arrow Wrecker to their compound to be held for processsing.
Sometime between 2000 hours on 03-13-10 and 0900 hours this morning, unknown suspect(s) threw a brick through the front glass door of Ocean Side Veggies. The owner checked the interior and did not find anything missing. There are no known suspects at this time.
Deputies were checking the parking lot of the above business for patrons that were loitering. Deputies encounter four subjects sitting in a vehicle. In the back seat of the vehicle there was an AK-47 visible from the exterior. The AK-47 was on the floor board partially concealed in a case. Edward Byrd (D1) was sitting in the back seat with his feet on the AK-47. A criminal history check on Byrd, revealed that he has multiple felony convictions. Byrd was transported to VCBJ without incident.
Deputies responded to Papi's at approximately 0300 hours. The crowd was extremely large. Parking overflowed into all surrounding lots between 6th. and 8th Streets. The road in front of the business had to be shut down due to the extreme number of vehicles and pedestrian traffic. Universal did several private property tows.
Denise Matonte (V1) reported her gray 2003 GMC Envoy, bearing FL tag #E598XN, was stolen while she was at the Last Call bottle club. V1 advised she had left her purse on the bar to go to the restroom at approximately 0500 hours. When she went to leave the club at approximately 0615 hours, she noticed her keys were missing from her purse. She then went outside and discovered her vehicle had been stolen. The vehicle was entered into FCIC/NCIC.
Kevin Rauch (V1) reported sometime between 0300 and 0900 hours this morning, the windshield and side mirrow on his vehicle were smashed with an unknown object. Case continued to Deputy Jeffries for follow-up.
Francis E. Whitcomb (V1) (55yoa) was found deceased in his bed by his long-time friend, Jonathan Braswell (O1). There were no signs of foul play. O1 related that V1 suffered from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and alcoholism, although V1 had not been attended by a primary care physician in several years. V1 was last seen by a doctor on 2-09-10 when he was discharged from Halifax Medical Center (following treatment of his COPD). He was prescribed a number of prescriptions for his condition, which he did not fill (due to having no health insurance). The Medical Examiner's Office was contacted and sent livery to transport V1 to their office for exam.
Deputy Bowen was flagged down by Yogeshkmur Amin (V1) in reference to the above business being burglarized. Person(s) unknown gained entry by breaking through the concrete wall between businesses. Once inside the business person(s) unknown moved an arcade type game to the back storage room and stole the money from inside. Money was also taken from the cash drawer. At this time there are no known suspects.
Deputies responded to the above location in reference to suspicious items left by the dumpster in the parking lot. It was determined that the items were possible remnants of a meth operation. Volusia County Fire rescue responded and contacted Volusia County Hazmat to package the items. Sergeant Gallagher was contacted and advised of the situation. Volusia County HazMat assumed control of the scene. It is unknown where the items originated from. Lt. Hughes notified. Sgt. Gallagher notified.
Russell Clary (D1) was stopped for a traffic violation. A check of Clary's license revealed his license was revoked 10 years for DUI. Clary was transported to VCBJ without incident.
Crystal Ellis (R1) reported her daughter, Courtney Martin (V1) (W/F, 03-01-1994), ran away. V1 is believed to be with her grandmother, Debra Boudreau (O1). V1 was entered into FCIC/NCIC as missing.
Darnell Woodard (B/M, 08-18-80) Traffic Cocaine, Sale of Cocaine, FTA. Total Bond: $78,000.00
Deputies responded to the above location in reference to person that had been shot. Upon arrival it was determined that the 60 year old male was deceased from an apparent self inflicted gunshot to the head. CID, Major Case and Crime scene were notified and responded to the scene assuming the investigation. Lt. Bosco notified Lt. Pagliari notified
The Sig 10 Silver Jeep Commander FL tag 236LZJ was observed by Dep. McGuire getting gas at the Murphy Station. The vehicle was occupied by a blk male in his late teens early twenties.(subject has a tattoo on his right forearm). As Deputy McGuire pulled into the gas station the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. Dep. Roberts observed the vehicle parked unoccupied approximately ten minutes later at the Seabreeze Point Apartments 472 Brentwood. Holly Hill P.D. responded to handle the recovery.
***ATTEMPT*** DEF 1 SCHULZ,JOEY RAYMOND W/M 11/14/1980 DEF 2 STITES,JULIUS S W/M 07/14/1985 THE ABOVE SUBJECTS WERE ARRESTED AFTER THEY ATTEMPTED TO STEAL THE VICTIMS WALLET IN THE WOODED AREA TO THE WEST OF AVENUE D. DURING THE ALTERCATION SCHULZ BEGAN SWINGING A METAL PIPE AND THREATENED THE VICTIM IF HE DID NOT TURN OVER HIS LIGHTER AND WALLET. AS A RESULT THE VICTIM GRABBED HIS OWN STICK AND STRUCK SCHULZ ABOVE THE LEFT EYE CAUSING HIM TO FALL TO THE GROUND. THE VICTIM THEN RAN FROM THE AREA AND CONTACTED THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE. SCHULZ AND STITES WERE LOCATED IN THE WOODED AREA AND TAKEN INTO CUSTODY WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE VICTIM PROVIDED A WRITTEN STATEMENT AND A TAPED INTERVIEW IN REFERENCE TO THE ALTERCATION. SCHULZ AND STITES WERE TRANSPORTED TO VCBJ.
GREIGER, STEPHANIE L. W/F 08-31-86 ARRESTED AT HER RESIDENCE REFERENCE OPEN WARRANT FOR GRAND THEFT WITH A $1,500.00 BOND. SUBJECT TOT TO VCBJ.
Vehicle description: 2002 Hyundai Sonata, Four door, gray in color, bearing Florida tag 675KBQ.****** Suspect description: Black male, early 20's Adeyemi Abel (R1) reported that he arrived at the above location to deliver an order. Abel pulled into the driveway left the vehicle running as he made his delivery. While completing the delivery, a black male (possibly in his early 20's) entered the vehicle and fled Northbound on Easy St. The vehicle was entered in FCIC/NCIC as stolen.
(V1) was extremely agitated when met by Deputies. V1 ran back into the residence while screaming. (R1) advised that V1 is off her psychiatric medication and has not slept in five days. V1 was Baker acted and transported to Halifax Hospital for mental evaluation.
Jean Goulet (V1) and Dennis Jones (D1) were involved in a verbal argument which escalated when Jones punched Goulet on the right side of his head. Jones was arrested and transported to VCBJ without incident.
Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a disturbance. Christina Bolin (R1), Lee Bowers (O1), Opie Bowers (O2), Joann Pearce (O3) and David Earl (O4) had all been involved in two separate physical disturbances. All subjects involved were either intoxicated or under the influence of an unidentified substance. All five subjects declined to prosecute the other and refused to cooperate further with Deputies. The incident was documented and the subjects went home.
AN EMPLOYEE AT THE SERENITY HOUSE CONTACTED THE V.C.S.O. REQUESTING A WELL BEING CHECK ON (V1). THE EMPLOYEE STATED V1 IS A PERSON SHE USED TO COUNCIL AND TODAY SHE CONTACTED HER BY TELEPHONE AND TOLD HER THAT SHE HAD A DREAM WHERE SHE KILLED HER CO-WORKERS WITH A GUN. DEPUTIES RESPONDED AND UPON ARRIVAL DEPUTY MCGUIRE MADE CONTACT WITH V1 WHO STATED SHE NO LONGER WANTED TO LIVE AND THAT SHE HAD A LOT OF MEDICATION THAT SHE WOULD TAKE TO EASE THE PAIN. V1 BEGAN BEGGING DEPUTY MCGUIRE TO PULL OUT HIS GUN AND SHOOT HER. BASED ON V1'S STATEMENTS SHE WAS BAKER ACTED AND TRANSPORTED TO HALIFAX FOR TREATMENT.
DEPUTY GREENE MET WITH ROLLINS, GARY AT HIS RESIDENCE, IN REFERENCE TO UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES MADE ON HIS FLORIDA TELCO CREDIT UNION DEBIT CARD. INVESTIGATION OF THE INCIDENT REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: ROLLINS LAST USED HIS DEBIT CARD AT THE RACE TRAC GAS STATION ON 03-09-10, FOR A PURCHASE OF DIESEL FUEL. THE TRANSACTION WAS MADE AT PUMP # 3, WHICH IS THE FURTHEST PUMP AWAY FROM THE CLERKS. VIDEO OF THE GAS PUMPS IS BEING OBATINED. ON THE EVENING OF 03-09-10 ROLLINS WAS NOTIFIED THAT POSSIBLE FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY WAS TAKING PLACE. IT APPEARS THAT THERE WERE TWO CHARGES MADE ON THE ACCOUNT.- ONE AT THE BEST BUY STORE, 116 GRAND REGENCY BLVD, BRANDON, FL AND THE OTHER AT A HOME DEPOT IN ANDERSON, S.C. ACCORDING TO LOSS PREVENTION AT BEST BUY THE SUSPECT'S WHO USED THE CARD WERE A WHITE MALE AND WHITE FEMALE.
Justin Raithburn (D1) was stopped for a traffic violation. Raithburn was subsequently arrested for an open Volusia County warrant. A search of the vehicle revealed multiple prescription pills that were not contained in a prescription bottle. Raithburn was arrested on the following charges: Possession schedule II narcotic, possession schedule IV narcotic, possession marijuana under 20 grams. Raithburn was transported to VCBJ without incident. Related case # 10-7349
Patrick Romines (D1) was arrested on two open active Volusia County warrants re: 10-7379 FTA grand theft. 10-7380 FTA Domestic Battery (two counts). Romines was transported to VCBJ without incident.
Ronald Raithburn (D1) was arrested on an open active Volusis County warrant re: Grand theft. Raithburn was transported to VCBJ without incident. Related case#10-7350
Elizabeth Woods (V1) reported sometime between 1500 hours on 03-08-10 and 1200 hours on 03-09-10, suspect(s) unknown entered her unlocked van and removed the following items: A SILVER GARMIN NUVI GPS SYSTEM AND A SILVER SONY DIGITAL CAMERA. No latent prints were recovered from the vehicle. Case continued to Deputy Jeffries.
V1 was last seen on 2-04-10 in Deltona (out job hunting). Although she has possibly become involved in drug use and has had a dramatic personality/lifestyle change over the course of the past year, she has always remained in close/frequent contact with her children: ages 4, 6 & 8 (who now live with their fathers). V1 has not been seen nor heard from by anyone in her family (including the kids) since 2/04. She is not in RMS/CJIS, jail or local hospitals. RP is mom.
Sergeant Savercool attempted a traffic stop on a black 2010 Nissan Altima, bearing FL tag #W802AG, for speeding. The vehicle, occupied by a black male with short hair, failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed. All emergency equipment was shut down and the vehicle was last seen running the stop sign as it turned south on Center Avenue from 8th Street. Investigation revealed the vehicle was rented by the above listed individual. The vehicle was not found at the residence following this incident. Info was passed on to night shift in reference to attempting to locate the vehicle for towing.
RP Billy Smith (Son), V1 Carol Polinsky RP last spoke with his 77 year old mother V1 at 1600 hours. When he returned home he found her deceased in the living room. Nothing untoward observed. V1 has had a host of ailments. Doctor will sign. V1 removed by Hannah Cremations.
RP James Grant (Manager) RP located what appeared to be a credit card skimming device attached to one of the pumps. The specific credit card device in question was the only device on all the pumps found to be illuminated. The pump was taken out of service and a pump tech will be respond in the morning. If it is found to be fraudulent, the RP will call VCSO for further assistance. After checking the card reader, it was determined that there was no skimmer or tampering of any kind. Closed.
(V1) was taken into custody under the Baker Act after she intentionally cut her wrist with a razor blade. V1 was turned over to Halifax Hospital for further treatment.
Gil M. Daponte (W/M, 06-09-1962) Violation of Pre-Trial Release ref. Battery. TOT/VCBJ. Bond: $2,500.00
Deputy Elmazi was conducting a battery investigation when he met with V1, who had multiple cuts across his wrist. Upon further investigation, Deputy Elmazi determined V1 met the criteria and was secured under the Baker Act.
R1 Diana Scott. O1 VCC Officer Willie Jackson. In-custody inmate V1 made statements in reference to acquiring a gun from SHOOT STRAIGHT to kill himself. V1 bonded out at which time further investigation by Deputy Maldonado determined V1 met the criteria. He was secured under the Baker Act.
Deputy Elmazi met with V1 who admitted she had stopped taking her medications and has had little sleep or food to eat. Investigation determined she was likely to cause harm to herself at which point she was secured under the Baker Act.
R1 VCC Captain Rodney Prince, V1 VCC Sgt Gallenkamp, V2 VCC Officer Jimenez, V3 VCC Sgt Solberg, V4 VCC Officer Westmoreland, D1 Timothy Joe. D1 was found to have contraband on his person. Attempts to remove said contraband resulted in a physical confrontation between D1 and V1-V4. V1-V4 sustained various minor injuries. All wanted to pursue charges. D1 was charged with Battery Leo (x4)
S1 and V1 were involved in an argument which became physical when S1 struck V1 on her nose with his hand. V1 complained of pain to her nose however she declined rescue. S1 was GOA. 707 to SAO. Case filed.
R1 Janice Woods is a vendor of Bike Week merchandise. She claims person(s) working for her known only as Harland and Hannah may have sold merchandise and then not submitted the cash for said merchandise. R1 said she would complete an inventory and notify VCSO if indeed this was a S/43.
THE CHEVY EQUINOX THAT WAS INVOLVED IN THE INCIDENT WITH 1F30 AT PAPI'S WAS RECOVERED AT THIS LOCATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO UNIVERSAL WITH A HOLD FOR PROCESSING. DISTRICT CID NOTIFIED.
WASULA, FRANCES M. W/F 06-07-58 WASULA WAS STOPPED FOR DWLS. AFTER ARREST CRACK COCAINE AND DRUG PARAPHERNALIA WERE FOUND ON HER PERSON. WASULA WAS TRANSPORTED TO VCBJ. WASULA'S VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY UNIVERSAL WITH A HOLD FOR POSSIBLE FORFEITURE.
COOLER, JACQUELINE B/F 09-25-72 COOLER WAS ARRESTED FOR DWLS AND RAWOV AFTER SHE WAS STOPPED FOR A TRAFFIC INFRACTION OUT SIDE OF PAPI'S. COOLER WAS TRANSPORTED TO VCBJ. COOLER'S VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO UNIVERSAL.
DEP. FLESCH ATTEMPTED A TRAFFIC STOP ON 2005 INFINITI AND THE VEHICE FLED AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. AIR ONE WHO WAS IN THE AREA MAINTAINED A VISUAL ON THE VEHICLE AS IT TRAVELED INTO SOUTH DAYTONA AND BACK INTO DAYTONA WHERE THE OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE BAILED OUT AND GOT INTO A 2005 DODGE MAGNUM. DEP. WEBB ATTEMPTED A TRAFFIC STOP ON THE MAGNUM AND IT ATTEMPTED TO FLEE BUT WAS SUBSEQUENTLY STOP STICKED BY DEP. FLESCH. THE MAGNUM STOPPED SHORTLY AFTERWARDS AND FOUR SUBJECTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY. THE SUBJECTS ARE LISTED BELOW. THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AT THAT TIME: WILEY, SHAREECE B/F 08-21-89, LEWIS, ERMANDO B/M 09-07-78, WILEY, CHAUNIECE B/F 05-15-88, AND ROBINSON, TINA B/F 03-27-72. CHARGES AGAINST EACH SUBJECT ARE LISTED BELOW. LEWIS, ERMANDO THE DRIVER OF THE INFINITI WAS CHARGED WITH FLEEING / ELUDING AND DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED. WILEY, CHAUNIECE THE PASSENGER OF THE INFINITI WAS CHARGED WITH PRINCIPAL TO FLEEING / ELUDING. ROBINSON, TINA THE DRIVER OF THE DODGE MAGNUM WAS CHARGED WITH FLEEING / ELUDING AND ASSAULT ON A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. ROBINSON HAD $5,454.00 IN US CURRENCY IN HER PURSE AT THE TIME. CURRENCY WAS PREDOMINANTLY IN TWENTY DOLLAR BILLS WHICH IS CONSISTENT WITH NARCOTICS ACTIVITY. CURRENCY WAS SEIZED FOR POSSIBLE FORFEITURE.WILEY, SHAREECE THE PASSENGER IN THE DODGE MAGNUM WAS NOT CHARGED AND WAS RELEASED FROM DISTRICT THREE. WILEY HAD $800.00 US CURRENCY ON HER PERSON AT THE TIME.
DEPUTY LAMEE AND DEPUTY SHIRAH CONDUCTED A WALK-THRU OF THE REAR PARKING LOT OF PAPI'S. THEY ENCOUNTERED A SILVER CHEVY EQUINOX WITH A BLACK MALE DRIVER WITH THE ODOR OF MARIJUANA EMINATED FROM THE VEHICLE. DEPUTIES TAPPED ON THE DRIVER'S WINDOW BUT THE DRIVER ACCELERATED CRASHING INTO A CADILLAC. THE CHEVY SUV CONTINUED BY RAMMING INTO A PARKED CHEVY MALIBU AND THEN INTO SGT. TURNER'S PATROL CAR AND BECAME STUCK. THE DRIVER ROCKED HIS CAR AND ACCELERATED, PUSHED BETWEEN THESE CARS AND EXITTED ONTO HOLLY ST. A BOLO WAS ISSUED FOR THE 2010 SILVER CHEVROLET EQUINOX BEARING FLORIDA TAG "555-WQN". A FELONY VEHICLE ENTRY AND BOLO WAS ALSO COMPLETED. ALL CARS WERE DRIVABLE AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. SINCE FHP WAS UNABLE TO RESPOND TO THIS CALL AND THE NATURE OF THIS INCIDENT, DEPUTY LAMEE COMPLETED THE CRASH INVESTIGATION. THE WATCH COMMANDER, LT. BOSCO WAS ON SCENE FOR THE INVESTIGATION.
DEPUTIES RESPONDED TO THE SUPER 8 MOTEL FOR A MEDICAL CALL WHERE THE W/F SAID THAT SHE WAS ATTACKED BY A MALE TRUCK DRIVER AND SEXUALLY BATTERED. THE ALLEDGED SUSPECT TRUCK DRIVER COULD NOT BE LOCATED. THE VICTIM WAS TRANSPORTED TO ORMOND MEMORIAL HOSPITAL UNDER ONE NAME AND DURING THE INVESTIGATION AT THE HOSPITAL SHE GAVE A DIFFERENT NAME. ON-CALL INVESTIGATORS RAYMOND AND FORD RESPONDED TO THE HOSPITAL AND CONDUCTED THEIR INTERVIEW WITH ADVOCATE- TAYLOR AND COLLECTED EVIDENCE. THIS CASE WILL BE CONTINUED TO D3 INVESTIGTOR R. FORTIN.
CRAWFORD, RICARDO B/M 05-14-90 CRAWFORD WAS A PASSENGER IN A VEHICLE THAT WAS STOPPED FOR SPEEDING. A SUBSEQUENT SEARCH OF CRAWFORD YIELDED A SMALL AMOUNT OF CANNABIS IN HIS SOCK. CRAWFORD WAS GIVEN A NOTICE TO APPEAR.
HANKINS, FREDERICK L. B/M 03-04-87 HANKINS WAS ARRESTED AFTER HE WAS FOUND TO BE DRIVING WITHOUT A DRIVERS LICENSE. HANKINS WAS TRANSPORTED TO VCBJ. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OVER TO THE REGISTERED OWNER.
Travis Lewis Garafalo w/m 01-09-90 was arrested on a no bond VOP warrant, for Reckless driving.
Deputies responded in reference to a disturbance. The 14 yoa victim, (V1), advised she and her mother, (S1), got into an argument and S1 began striking her repeatedly about her head and upper body. V1 advised she hit S1 back and S1 threw a glass bottle, striking V1 in the head. S1 left the residence, prior to the arrival of deputies, and took the bottle with her. V1 sustained the following injuries: small lacerations on her nose and chest, redness on her face and a half inch laceration on her head which was caused by the bottle. Due to S1 leaving the residence, there was no guardian to decline treatment for V1 so she was transported to the hospital by EVAC where she was met by her grandmother. Attempts to locate S1 proved negative and the affidavit was turned over to day shift.
(D1) was arrested for simple battery after he punched the victim, (V1), in the mouth and knocked him to the ground. D1 did this because he mistakenly believed D1 had grabbed his nephew by the neck. V1 suffered a laceration to his upper lip and soreness to the back of his head but did not request or require medical treatment. D1 was transported to VCBJ
John Hinds (W/M, 04-06-1989) was arrested on an active Flagler County warrant for violation of pre-trial reference disorderly conduct. Bond: $2,000.00
Information was received that a stolen vehicle (White Chevy Malibu 4-door, FL tag #402JDI) was possibly in the rear parking lot of Papi's. The vehicle was observed backed in near the north west corner of the parking lot. As deputies approached, the vehicle pulled out and exited the parking lot on the south side of Papi's, striking two occupied vehicles in the process. Both occupants of the victim vehicles did not wish to have a report made and subsequently left the scene. The stolen Chevy was spotted in Daytona moments later driving in a reckless manner. It has front end damage, to include a headlight out, as a result of the crash at Papi's. As of shift change, the vehicle had not been recovered.
Anthony Gunther (W/M, 01-16-1984) was arrested on an active Volusia County warrant reference Burglary of a Conveyance. Bond: $3,500.00
LEONARD, MARK A. M/B 09-28-86 LEONARD WAS ARRESTED FOR DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED DRIVER LICENSE AND TRANSPORTED TO VCBJ. THE VEHICLE HE WAS OPERATING WAS TURNED OVER TO THE REGISTERED OWNER.
Douglas Hajdin (V1) reported that person(s) unknown entered his unlocked driver side door and stole his Sirius satellite radio receiver. Attempts to locate and lift latent prints proved negative. At this time there are no known suspects.
Deputies responded to the above location to assist DCF with the removal of children from the residence. While assisting DCF, (D1) was located in the residence. D1 is on probation which prohibits contact with (V1) or her family. D1 was arrested for violation of probation and transported to VCBJ without incident.
Davona Marshall (V1) reported that person(s) unknown stole her license plate between 1200 & 1800 hours while her motorcycle was being serviced. The tag (Washington DC MM2045) was entered in FCIC/NCIC as stolen.

(W1) advised that at approximately 1210 hours this date, she witnessed two juvenile detainees: (D1) and (D2) batter a third juvenile detainee: (V1). W1 related that she had just escorted D1, D2 and some other juveniles into the "D Mod" area of the facility (from the dining hall) when she witnessed the defendants approach V1 and attack him (unprovoked). D1 and D2 repeatedly struck V1 about the face and body until he fell to the floor, at which time they proceeded to strike and kick him as he lay there. V1 received a bloody nose, numerous contusions and a possible injury to his ribs. He was transported to Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, (via EVAC) prior to deputy arrival. Immediately after attacking V1, both defendants reportedly stopped and "high-fived" each other, calmly walking away. Both had reportedly just returned from court, where they were sentenced to "programs". D1 and D2 were charged with felony battery (on a detainee) and remained in custody at DJJ
Crystal Ellis (R1) reported she and her 16 yoa daughter, Courtney Martin (V1), had an argument on 03-02-10, during which V1 stated she was moving out. R1 left the residence this morning at 0800 and returned at 1130 to find V1 had packed all of her clothes and left the residence. R1 advised V1 has run away in the past. V1's current whereabouts are unknown. V1 was entered into NCIC/FCIC as missing.
Cassandra Brown (W/F, 04-25-1988) was arrested on an active warrant for VOP- Worthless Check, following a traffic stop by Sgt. Savercool. She was also issued 2 citaions (1 criminal for no valid DL). TOT/VCBJ.
