D1 WAS ARRESTED FOR SIMPLE BATTERY / DATING VIOLENCE AFTER HE CHOKED V1 DURING A VERBAL ARGUMENT.
D1 WAS ARRESTED FOR SIMPLE BATTERY DV, AFTER A VERBAL ARGUMENT TURNED PHYSICAL WITH HIS WIFE.
VINCENT JAMES DUGAN WM 072889 WAS ARRESTED FOR POSS OF CANNABIS, POSS OF PARAPHERNALIA AND RECKLESS DRIVING AFTER A TRAFFIC STOP. A GARMIN GPS ORIGINALLY REPORTED STOLEN FROM DELTONA, WAS LOCATED IN THE VEHICLE, INVESTIGATION CONTINUES REGARDING THE STOLEN GPS UNIT.
Deputies responded to 156 Columba Rd. in Debary, reference to a burglary of a conveyance. Brown, Jody reported that she left her vehicle unsecured in her driveway on 03-16-10 at approx. 1800 hrs. Brown returned to the vehicle on 03-17-10 at approx 0800 hrs to discover the hood open and several dollars in loose change missing from within the vehicle. Brown was unable to provide any possible suspect information at the time of the report.
Alonzo, Miriam W/F 10-28-62 was arrested on an active warrant out of Hillsborough County, reference to VOP for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Alonzo was arrested and transported to the VCBJ on no bond without incident.
--Matthews, Jeffrey, Scott W/M (41) 05-06-67-Volusia County Warrant for FTA- DWLS. --Schroyer, Chanel, I. W/F (21) 02-01-90-Volusia County Warrant for FTA-Attempted Purchase of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
**BURGLARY-CONVEYANCE-ATTEMPT** (V1) Piatt, Jack, R. W/M (33) 04-22-76 V1 advised that someone attempted to break into his work truck by breaking locks on the back of the truck. V1 suspects S1 and S2 who are girlfriend & boyfriend and deliver papers for the News-Journal in the area. Based on conflicting statements from V1 probable cause did not exist for an arrest. Case is active to Deputy P. Bethea.
Victim called VCSO after he found his boat trailer which had been stolen in Seminole County earlier in the day abandoned on the side of the road at 700 S. Charles R. Beall Blvd. Vehicle was processed for evidence, Seminole County was notified of the recovery. Trailer turned over to the victim at scene.
(V1) Lichty, Richard, A. W/M (37) 12-14-72 (R1) Osmond, Jason, S W/M (32) 03-24-77 **Suspects: four white teenage females, two black teenage males. 1425 19th Street is a vacant house owned by Lichty. Osmond is a neighbor. An unknown person(s) broke the rear sliding glass door, made entry, and splattered gray paint throughout the residence. Every room in the residence appeared to be vandalized. Case worked by Deputy P. Bethea. Case status is active.
V1 and her boyfriend S1 were involved in a verbal argument over infidelity and relationship issues. Things escalated and S1 grabbed V1 by the shoulder and pushed her down. S1 fled the residence and could not be located. An affidavit was filed against S1 for battery (DV). The case was left for dayshift. Case worked by Deputy P. Bethea.
(V1) Rubino, Richard, J. W/M (35) 11-25-74 (R1) Rubino, Patricia, A. W/F (27) 05-30-82-Wife of Rubino (V1) An unknown person(s) took Rubino's (V1) Citi Bank Master Card sometime between 01-01-10 and 01-11-10. A total of 37 transactions with a total amount of $1,100.00 was charged. Most of the charges were made in the Deltona, Debary, Orange City area. Case worked by Deputy R. Galarza. Case status is active.
(V1) Wolfe, Gary, A. W/M (52) 07-31-57 Wolfe had some friends doing work at his house between 02-21-10 and 03-14-10. Wolfe is missing several items from his house to include: Nikkon Coolpix digital camera, teleconverter lens, wide angle converter, a nicad battery/camera battery charger, and compact flash memory cards. Case worked by Deputy G. Ray. Case status is active.
Neighbors found victim Joanne Roush, 74, unresponsive on the floor of her home. CPR was initiated. EVAC took over CPR until Dr. Jones at Florida Hospital Orange City pronounced the victim deceased via radio. Attending physician was contacted and will sign the death certificate. No signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances. Next of kin notified, meds collected, and the remains were removed by livery to a funeral home.
******Juvenile****** (V-1) advised that she and her daughter, (D-1), were involved in a verbal argument at which time D-1 pushed V-1 in the back, causing V-1 to strike the refrigerator. D-1 then slapped V-1 in the face with an open hand. D-1 was then arrested as per D.Y.S, and later released back to her mother.
Lisa Jay reported that a guest at the residence stole her 2005 Acura from the driveway with the keys. Vehicle was entered and later located by On-Star in Holly Hill. Vehicle was recovered and the Suspect was not located.
Denyse Haynak reported that unknown person entered her unlocked car between 03/12 and 03/14. A cell phone and gps were stolen and no serial numbers were provided. Sunglasses were located inside the car belonging to the suspect and submitted into evidence. No leads.
Jennifer Wheeler reported her wallet was stolen from her locked vehicle between 03/13 and 03/14. Wheeler advised her debit card was used in Orange County. No other leads.
V1 called and advised that the defendant D1 was on scene at the residence and in violation of a domestic violence injunction. Deputies made contact on scene with the defendant who was placed under arrest after a verbal assault. The defendant was found to be in possession of narcotics after arrest. T.O.T branch jail.
Michael Simpson (V-1) advised that on this date, between 1530 and 2345 hrs, an unknown person(s) entered his home via an unlocked window and removed items from within. During this investigation, the residence was found to be in disarray. The scene was checked for latent prints, but with negative results. An area canvass was conducted but to no avail. Case continued to Deputy Ray for follow up.
V1 WAS FOUND LAYING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD HEAVILY INTOXICATED. V1 MADE SEVERAL SUICIDAL STATMENTS THAT SHE DID NOT WANT TO LIVE AND NEEDED HELP. V1 WAS BAKER ACTED ON SCENE AND TRANSPORTED WITHOUT INCIDENT.
AFTER MICHAEL PETERS WAS ARRESTED ON AN ACTIVE V.C.S.O WARRANT, PARAPHERNALIA WAS FOUND ON HIS PERSON. PETERS WAS ALSO CHARGED ALONG WITH THE ACTIVE WARRANT.
THOMAS SULLIVAN REPORTED THAT UNKNOWN PERSON(S) STOLE HIS OUTSIDE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT FROM THE EXTERIOR OF HIS RESIDENCE. SULLIVAN WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A SERIAL NUMBER NO SUSPECT INFORMATION.
JOLITA RYAN WAS STOPPED FOR SPEEDING AND FOUND TO HAVE A SUSPENDED FLORIDA LICENSE. CRIMINAL CITE ISSUED R.O.R.
CONTACT WAS MADE WITH PETERS, MICHAEL WHO WAS ARRESTED ON ONE ACTIVE WARRANT CONTAINING THREE COUNTS OF BURGLARY. T.O.T TO THE BRANCH WITHOUT INCIDENT.
Deputies responded to the scene reference a disturbance. Upon arrival, Jarod Hatshorne (D-1) and James Long (D-2) were found to be fighting in the parking lot. Both persons were placed under arrest. It was at that time that Cassandra Moore (D-3) attempted to prevent deputies from making the arrests by actively getting involved in the confrontation. She was then placed under arrest as well. All parties were highly intoxicated. All parties were later transported to the jail without incident.
A white male entered the Riverside Bank with a raincoat, ball cap, and sunglasses. The male attempted to access a bank account by providing two different social security numbers, to no avail. The manager advised he was acting suspicious and feared he may be conducting surveillance on the bank for a future robbery. A photo of the subject was obtained and e-mailed to district 6 and an extra patrol was requested.
Someone entered the victim's home through a side garage door after removing the window pane from the door. Several jewelry items were taken.
Robert D. Hartshorn, 20 years-old, was arrested for three outstanding warrants for violation of probation for 1)Dealing in stolen property; 2) Grand Theft; 3) Dealing in stolen property. Hartshorn was given no bond.
Joseph Crider reported that between 1830 on 3/10/10 and 0700 on 3/11/10 person(s) unknown entered a 1997 Ford SUV via an unsecured rear hatch and stole numerous items to include a GPS system, portable DVD player, cell phone charger, power inverter and numerous compact discs. No suspects/wintesses.
Nothing significant.
Fred Taylor reported that on 3/9/10 at approximately 2200 hours, a known female suspect stole his darts valued at $100 while he was at Rumors Bar. He has since recovered his property, but wants to prosecute. Case continued to Dep. Smith.
Tanya Soto reported that while working at the Party Exchange store she observed a black female shoplifting paper plates and napkins. Suspect fled in a black Dodge Caliber with another balck female before VCSO's arrival. Suspect is unknown. Complainant declined prosecution.
Joe Chavez (V-1) was involved in a verbal argument with three unidentified individuals in the parking lot of the above ref. address. When leaving the area in a white chevy impala, the suspects vehicle struck V-1 causing him to fall to the ground. V-1 was transported to Fish Memorial for observation. V-1 was later released. Case continued to Deputy Abato.
(V-1) advised that he had gotten into a verbal argument with his wife, (D-1), as D-1 had been out drinking heavily and taking xanax. V-1 advised that during the argument, D-1 took an aluminum bat and struck him in the forehead. V-1's injuries were minor. D-1 was located and placed under arrest. D-1 was transported without incident.
The victim reported her vehicle stolen after Tobias Cobb fail to return it. Stolen vehicle affidavit completed, vehicle entered, and charges filed.
(V-1) advised that she and her live in boyfriend/father of their child, (D-1) had gotten into a verbal argument and which time he (D-1) had tripped her (V-1) thus making her fall to the ground. When attempting to leave the residence, D-1 picked up a rock and threw it at V-1, thus striking her leg and causing a bruise. D-1 was located and was placed under arrest without incident.
(V-1) advised that he and his wife, (D-1) had gotten into a verbal argument, at which time D-1 punched him in the mouth with a closed fist. V-1 also advised that he had a temporary injuction against V-1 for no violent contact (See VCSO Case # 10-0007257). Upon completion of the investigation, D-1 was placed under arrest and was transported without incident.
Troy Stayton reported, sometime over night, unknown suspect(s) spray painted “fuck you bitch” on his vehicle and garage door. Slayton could not provide any suspects and there were no leads in the case.
TAINTER, STEPHANIE (D1) was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the jail without incident.
Tsagarakis, Michael (D1), was arrest for grand theft after he stole a vehicle transmission, two vehicle batteries, and a vehicle rotor from the yard of a residence. Tsagarakis was located at the scrap yard where he was attempting to sell the items for scrap metal.
Someone smashed the passenger window of the victim's truck, likely using a projectile.
V1 was arrested for battering his live-in girlfriend.
Glen Stutzman reported that between 0230 and 0530 on 3/7/10 person(s) unknown stole his 2004 Toyota Tundra pickup from his driveway. Vehicle was left unlocked with the keys in it. Vehicle entered into NCIC/FCIC.
Jessica Goss reported that between 2200 on 3/6/10 and 1000 on 3/7/10 person(s) unknown entered her unlocked 2003 Buick 4 dr. and stole numerous items including a GPS device and charger, cell phone charger, cash, and some documents. No suspects/witnesses.
During the overnight hours several cases of vandalism to vehicles occurred throughout 62 zone. Each vehicle, predominantly vans and SUVs, had one window shattered with a small landscaping stone probably launched with a slingshot. Vehicles were either parked in a driveway or on the roadway. Also see case numbers #10-7079, #10-7081, #10-7082, #10-7084, #10-7086, #10-7089 and #10-7094. No suspects/witnesses.
Jeremy Loucks, an adult, was arrested for driving while license suspended.
V1, was Baker Acted after he reportedly started "acting crazy and throwing things in the house." He made statements in front of deputies that people were trying to kill him. He was transported to ACT. While being transported, he would suddenly scream out, and spit all over the inside of the patrol car.
Dep. Passerrello responded to Fla. Hospital Orange City where medical personnel were reporting that they were treating the victim of a battery that occurred at 880 Division St., Orange City. Contact was made with Jose Arroyo, 24. Arroyo stated that he had been a member of the "Bloods", but was leaving the gang. Gang members that he refused to identify then punched, kicked, and pistol whipped him. Arroyo refused to give a written statement, identify the perpetrators, or press charges. Incident occurred the previous night between 1800 and 1930 hrs.
Victim reported that between 1000 and 1600 hrs. on 3/5/10 her tag and decal were stolen from her automobile while it was at Clayton and Sons Auto Salvage for repairs. Tag and decal entered into NCIC/FCIC. No suspects/witnesses.
A juvenile male, 15 years-old, was riding his bicycle on or along W Highbanks Rd when he was struck by a automobile travelling east on W Highbanks Rd. The automobile was being driven by a juvenile male, who is 17 years-old. The 15 year-old child was taken to Fish Hospital in Orange City was he was pronounced dead. The driver of the automobile and his passenger were not injured during the incident. Traffic Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and took over the investigation.
Someone entered the victim's home through a kitchen window and removed several large items from within. Some of the items were a 19" dell monitor and laptop computer. A neighbor advised she observed a black male looking in her front door window and he fled when he saw her. The subject was driving a silver full size truck and fled the area in it. It is believe this subject committed the burglary at this residence.
Ryuan Mcneil, an adult, was stopped for a traffic violation and arrested for having a suspended driver license.
Deputies responded in ref. to a 26 year old female who sent a text message to her father that she had taken a handful of pills and had a gun to her head. Contact was made with the victim who admitted sending the text message. She was checked out by paramedics, then taken into custody under the Baker Act. P.T. took her out to ACT.
Jason Colgate reported that between 2200 on 3/3/10 and 1300 on 3/4/10 someone stole his Hi-Point .40 Caliber semi-auto pistol from inside his home. Colgate had numerous guests in the house for Bike Week. Case is continued. Firearm entered into NCIC/FCIC.
Vincent Ours reported that between 0800 on 3/4/10 and 0630 on 3/5/10 person(s) unknown stole several items that he had stored in his backyard. Stolen were two sets of sliding glass doors valued at $500, two sets of double thermal pane windows valued at $160, two sets of shower doors valued at $460, four sets of screen enclosure panels valued at $1000, a brass bed to include head and footboard valued at $1800, and towo end tables valued at $150. No suspects/witnesses.
The front glass door the premisis was found to be shattered out. The building was empty with nothing inside except several papers on the floor. No suspect information at this time.
Kim Parent was sitting in a friend's vehicle at the convenience store. S1, an acquaintance, entered the vehicle and was asking V1 to barrow money. When V1 refused, S1 snatched several twenty dollar bills from her hand. S1 fled the area and deputies were unable to locate him at his residence. Bolo's were put out for S1 and his vehicle.
