TRAFFIC ALERT ISSUED FOR SUNDAY’S BOGGY CREEK RUN  

An annual motorcycle run that raises money for a program serving children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses is set for this Sunday. The annual Ride for Children will kick off at 10 a.m. Sunday at the local Harley-Davidson dealership known as Destination Daytona, located at 1637 N. U.S 1 in Ormond Beach. More than a thousand motorcyclists are expected to take part in the charity caravan all the way to Camp Boggy Creek in Lake County . Various law enforcement agencies will be escorting the riders to provide traffic safety along the travel route. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously and avoid the travel route if possible in order to avoid delays, as intersections will be held to allow the procession to pass.  

The route for Sunday’s run is as follows:

  • From Destination Daytona, south on U.S.  1 to Nova Road

  • South on Nova Road , all the way to LPGA Boulevard in Daytona Beach

  • West on LPGA Boulevard to International Speedway Boulevard

  • West on International Speedway Boulevard to S.R. 15A in DeLand

  •  Left on S.R. 15A, all the way to S.R. 44

  • West on S.R. 44 to Camp Boggy Creek at Brantley Branch Road
