SHERIFF’S INVESTIGATOR RELEASE SURVEILLANCE VIDEO FROM DEBARY BURGLARY 

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office has released surveillance video of two suspects in a smash-n-grab burglary that targeted a Hess station in DeBary on Friday. The video shows two men wearing dark hats burst through the door the moment the glass is shattered with a concrete block. One suspect appears to be black, and the other either white or Hispanic.

The burglary occurred at about 1:21 a.m. Friday morning at the Hess station at 96 N. Charles R. Beall Blvd. The suspects entered the store four seconds after the glass is shattered and leave approximately 42 seconds later, carrying a laundry basket filled with stolen cigarettes. 

Friday’s burglary was similar in nature to a smash-n-grab on Wednesday at the Cumberland Farms, 600 S. U.S. 17-92. Anyone with information about the burglaries or who recognizes the suspects in the video is asked to contact Sheriff’s investigator Sean Gowan at (386) 668-3830 or Crime Stoppers of Volusia & Flagler Counties, toll-free, at 1-888-277-TIPS. Callers to Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous and can qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.
