THREE TEENS ARRESTED IN DELTONA ARMED ROBBERY

A trio of teenagers was arrested for a Saturday night armed robbery in Deltona. The two 16-year-old boys and one 15-year-old girl had entered another teen’s home without permission, confronting the victim in his bedroom. One of the boys pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the victim. The three defendants ransacked the room, took some money and an iPod, ordered the victim not to call law enforcement or they would kill him, and finally fled. No shots were fired and no one was seriously injured. The victim knew two of his three assailants.

The robbery happened at 1561 Fergason Ave. The 15-year-old victim told deputies that at about 7 p.m. he answered his front door and saw the three suspects there, but he did not let them inside. A few minutes later, though, they entered the house through another unsecured door and confronted the victim in his bedroom, where he was hanging out with a friend. Jonathan Feliciano started demanding money, and then pulled a handgun out of his waistband. He pointed the gun at the victim and again demanded money. Meanwhile, Wilson Ruiz and Sarah Saborio searched the room, discovering about $100 and an iPod. Once they collected these items, Feliciano threatened to kill the victim if he called law enforcement. The three then left.

Later in the evening, deputies easily found Ruiz at his home on Tivoli Drive, and Saborio was with him. The two were arrested there. A short time later, deputies found Feliciano on Crawford Street, but upon seeing the deputies, he ran away. Deputy Thomas Reinhardt and his K-9 partner Macho tracked Feliciano through several backyards and Macho finally apprehended him alongside a house on Pilgrim Avenue. All three defendants were charged with home invasion robbery with a firearm. Feliciano was also charged with resisting arrest without violence and possession of marijuana over 20 grams. The defendants were booked into the Volusia Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Daytona Beach.
