                      WINNERS ANNOUNCED IN THE ANNUAL PAL MOTORCYCLE RAFFLE

Regarding the 12th annual Port Orange Police Athletic League (P.A.L.) Harley Davidson Motorcycle Raffle:

On Sunday March 9th, the final day of Bike week 2008, at 5:00 PM located outside the Deck Down Under Restaurant in Port Orange, the first, second and third place winners were drawn regarding the annual motorcycle raffle. On hand for the drawing was Port Orange P.A.L. Director Robert Frazier, Police Department Captain Wayne M. Miller, Mayor Allen Green, Council Member George Steindoerfer, Council Member Dennis Kennedy and P.A.L. staff member Bruce Whitcomb. Mayor Green selected two children from the crowd to draw the winning tickets from the raffle drum. The ticket pullers were 11 year old Jordan Snipes of Port Orange and three year old Sean Floyd of New Smyrna Beach.

The winners were as follows: 

1st place for a 2008 Harley Davidson Softail Classic or $14,000.00 in cash was Thomas Scardazio of 
Port Richey, Florida
 

2nd place for $500.00 in cash was Oris Widener of Ocala, Florida 

3rd place for $500.00 in cash was Dan Abbott Jr., of Dallas, Georgia.  

The annual P.A.L. Harley Davidson Raffle starts at the annual Family Days event in Port Orange in early October and concludes the final day of Bike Week. All money raised from this raffle directly benefits the youth in the Port Orange community through the Port Orange P.A.L. programs.
