PEDESTRIAN IDENTIFIED AFTER FATAL ACCIDENT
An
update regarding the pedestrian fatality which originally
occurred on 11/16/08 at approximately 1:11 AM in the 3500
block of Ridgewood Avenue in Port Orange:
The
pedestrian struck in this fatal accident has been identified
as 72-year old Charles R. Schneider of Delaware. The driver of
the vehicle involved is identified as 51-year old Scott H.
Wheeler of New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
The
investigation by the Port Orange Police Department Traffic
Homicide unit continues and charges are pending the outcome of
the investigation.
