OFFICER RECOVERING FROM ACCIDENTAL SHOOTING
Officer Jerry Zito, a 14 year
veteran of the Department is recovering from an accidental
firearm discharge that occurred in the training rooms at the
police station on Wednesday, March 11, 2009.
Officer Zito continues to rest and
recover from last evening’s surgery at Halifax Medical Center in
Daytona Beach.
The investigation regarding the
incident involving Officer Zito is still under active
investigation.
