                                              BANK ROBBER ARRESTED

On May 18, 2009 at 1131 hours the National City Bank located at 4035 Nova Road, Port Orange was robbed by an unknown white male.

On June 19, 2009 at 1234 hours the Wachovia Bank located at 4041Nova Rd, Port Orange was robbed by what appeared to be the same unknown white male.

UPDATE

On July 17, 2009 Port Orange Police Department Detective Scott Brozio arrested Kenneth Wayne Dawson, 52, of 1248 Windsor Drive, Port Orange on two counts of robbery pertaining to the two bank incidents mentioned above. The defendant was initially arrested for Driving with a Suspended Drivers License, a subsequent investigation led to the bank robbery charges.

Daytona Beach Police Department detectives also responded and charged the defendant with their bank robbery which occurred at the Riverside Bank located at 1590 South Nova Road on July 9, 2009.

The defendant was transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail under a total bond amount of $ 32,500.00.
