                               POLICE LOOKING FOR MISSING 87-YEAR-OLD WOMAN                             

On August 17, 2009 at approximately 1800 hours Freida Stevens, 87, left her residence at 416 N. Willow Dr., Port Orange to visit her husband at the Port Orange Rehabilitation Center 5600 Victoria Gardens Blvd, Port Orange. At approximately 2000 hours the Port Orange Police received a call from Freida Steven’s son advising that she did not arrive at the facility. According to family members Freida Stevens has recently suffered with short term memory loss, as a result, Freida Stevens becomes disoriented and unable to find her way back home. 

 Freida Stevens is described as a white female, 5’6” tall, unknown weight, grey hair and blue eyes. It is unknown at this time what Freida Stevens was wearing. Freida Stevens is known to drive her grey/ silver, 2004 Nissan Sentra, 4 door bearing Florida tag J343HM.

Update: 8:25 a.m. - 08/18/09

Frieda Stevens was recovered at approximately 12:30 a.m. at Tomoka Farms Road and Taylor Road by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. She was turned over to her son.
