                POLICE LOOKING FOR SECOND SUSPECT IN ATTEMPTED PURSE SNATCHING

On August 21, 2009 at approximately 3:15 pm a 54-year-old female victim was walking northbound on Spruce Creek Road near Royal Palm Circle. A black male suspect approached her from behind after exiting a white in color Corsica being driven by a white male suspect. The black male suspect struck the female victim with his shoulder knocking her off balance; he then grabbed her purse straps which caused the victim to fall onto the concrete sidewalk. The victim suffered a broken left arm and severe bruising to her hip. The black male suspect then fled on foot without obtaining the purse, he ran through the Treasure Isle Mobile Home Park. 

A witness observed the black male suspect being picked up by a white male operating a white in color Corsica on Commonwealth Boulevard and then sped away from the area. 

On August 25, 2009 at 3:04 pm 19-year-old, Bradley Wayne Knight, 1450 S. Palmetto Ave., Apt. #107, Daytona Beach, was placed under arrest by Detective Eric Fields, based on the fact he was identified as the driver of the white Corsica in question. Knight was charged with Principle to Robbery by Sudden Snatching and transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail under a $ 10,000.00 bond. 

On August 26, 2009 an arrest warrant was obtained against 19-year-old, Jay Stephen Pressley Jr. for the charge of Robbery by Sudden Snatching. The arrest warrant was signed by Judge David Foxman and the bond is listed at $ 20,000.00. 

Pressley's last known address is 1029 Sutton Place, Apt. #224, in Daytona Beach. At this time his whereabouts are unknown. If anyone has any information about Pressley, please contact Detective Eric Fields at (386) 506-5893 or the Port Orange Police Department at (386) 506-5800.

Update:

On August 26, 2009 at 4:12 pm Detective Eric Fields arrested Jay Stephen Pressley Jr at 1019 Sutton Place # 224 in Daytona Beach. He was charged with Robbery by Sudden Snatching. He was transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail under a $ 20,000.00 bond.
