TWO ARRESTED IN HOME BURGLARY
On December 30, 2009 at
approximately 1:00 pm suspicious males were observed by
a witness in the driveway of an unoccupied home on
Broken Bow Lane in Port Orange. The witness was able to
obtain a vehicle tag number and notified the police.
Upon police arrival the suspects had fled the area,
officers observed a flat screen television in the back
yard as well as an open window to a rear bedroom.
Laptops were stolen from the home.
Port
Orange Police Detectives along with Daytona Beach Police
Officers responded to the Novawood Apartments at 1220
South Nova Road in Daytona Beach. Investigation on scene
resulted in the arrests of two males identified as
Bradley Lewis, 21 and Jerome Forde, 24. They were
arrested for Burglary to a Dwelling and Grand Theft
concerning
the Port Orange break in. Daytona Beach Police arrested
Jerome Forde as well for two open warrants for Burglary
and one open warrant for Violation of Probation
reference Battery.
During this investigation it
was learned that the same two suspects had burglarized a
home in South Daytona. Stolen property from the South
Daytona burglary was recovered and returned to the South
Daytona Police Department.
Bradley Lewis and Jerome
Forde were transported to the Port Orange Police
Department for processing, and then to the Volusia
County Branch Jail. The total bond for Bradley Lewis is
$ 12, 500.00, while the bond for Jerome Forde is $ 21,
500.00. They are still incarcerated at VCBJ.
