Case # 10-005816/10-005046

                                                       ROBBERY SUSPECT ARRESTED

On July 14, 2010 at 4:19 am the Dock Bar located at 5395 Ridgewood Avenue, Port Orange was burglarized. Forced entry was gained into the business and once inside the suspect forced open several vending machines as well as a cabinet.

A similar burglary had occurred on June 20, 2010 at the same location. The burglary on this date was discovered when the business owner arrived this morning at 7:00 am. The Port Orange Police Department responded directly to the business and began an investigation. A short time later Nicholas Fank was spotted and it was evident he matched the suspect on a surveillance video.

Detective Wenzel obtained a full confession from Nicholas Fank. Stolen funds were recovered which directly linked Nicholas Fank to both burglaries. Nicholas Fank was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary to a structure, two counts of grand theft, and two counts of vandalism. He was processed and transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail under a no bond status due to him currently being under probationary requirements.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jeff Wenzel at # 386-506-5884.
