| Public Involvement
All PD&E Studies
require a Public Involvement Program (PIP) to inform and
involve interested public officials, citizens and special
interest groups in the development of the project. The PIP
starts at the beginning of the study phase and includes
several methods to obtain input from concerned and
interested parties along the project corridor. As the study
progresses, input from the public will be used in the
analysis of the various alternatives and in refining the
viable alternatives.
During this study, several meetings and workshops were held.
The first public information workshop was held in the Osteen
Civic Center on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, the Titusville
City Council Chambers on Thursday, February 26, 2009, and
the Brannon Center on Tuesday, March 3, 2009. The second
public information workshop was held in the Titusville City
Council Chambers on Monday, September 21, 2009, the Osteen
Civic Center on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, and the Brannon
Center on Thursday, September 24, 2009. Informational and
small group meetings were held throughout the study, as
needed.
In addition to this project web site, a series of project
newsletters were prepared and mailed to public officials, property
owners near the study corridor and others who requested to be
added to the project mailing list.
