Seasonal trolley service
Votran’s colorful and convenient trolleys will be back in service along the
core beach area of Daytona Beach for another season. The
beachside trolley program, which serves Atlantic Avenue, is a seasonal
program that operates from January until Labor Day.
Trolleys were introduced in 1981 and have become a popular Votran service.
During the day, trolleys operate in addition to regular fixed route service.
In the evening, trolleys operate as part of Votran’s extended night service
that was launched in 2003 to provide area residents and visitors greater
access to jobs and enhanced shopping and recreational activities
Votran’s extended night service serves the Greater Daytona Beach Area,
Ormond Beach South Daytona, Holly Hill and Port Orange areas and operates
until midnight. The later evening service helps people who work evening
hours such as employees at hospitals, retail stores, shopping centers and
hotels. Many of these workers rely on Votran to commute to and from work.
Night service routes include:
1 - S.R. A1A North/Granada
15 - Orange Avenue
3 - North Ridgewood
4 - South Ridgewood
10 - Medical Center
17 - South
Atlantic
Trolley and fixed route fares (one-way) are $1.25 for full fare
adults and 60 cents for elderly/disabled/youths under 18. Value passes are
available for one, three, seven and 31 days. Employer-purchased bus passes
offer tax savings.
All buses and trolleys are wheelchair accessible. Bike racks are available
on each vehicle as part of Votran’s Stow and Go program.
