Just in time for spring planting season, Volusia County’s master gardeners will host a plant sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Agriculture Center, 3100 E. New York Ave., DeLand.
Featured plants will include spring garden vegetables and early blooming plants such as azaleas, herbs and fruit trees that are ideal for Central Florida’s climate.
Due to COVID-19 guidelines, only 60 shoppers will be allowed at the sale each hour. Register at https://ufifas-earlybloomers.eventbrite.com or call 386-822-5778. Be sure to register everyone in your group. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
Purchaces may be made with cash or check only. Admission and parking are free. Pets are not allowed, but service dogs will be admitted.
Proceeds will support Volusia County’s Master Gardener Program. Master gardeners receive horticultural training from the University of Florida/Volusia County Extension and volunteer their time to answer questions and teach residents about gardening and landscaping.
