The Children and Families Advisory Board will meet at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, in the second-floor training room of the Volusia County Historic Courthouse, 125 W. New York Ave., DeLand.
Members will set guidelines for the approval of summer camp provider applications. They will determine a minimum score for approval, establish exceptions to scoring and ineligible applications, provide individual scores to each of the private provider applications received, and make recommendations for approval of providers.
The Children and Families Advisory Board assesses and evaluates strategies to meet needs, monitors program compliance, advertises funding availability, recommends appropriations for programs serving children and families, and provides recommendations to the Volusia County Council on children and family issues.
