Landscaping to attract wildlife brings nature closer by welcoming it into our backyards. Planting certain trees, shrubs and flowers can create an inviting atmosphere for songbirds, butterflies and other wildlife.
Linda Landrum, a master gardener with the University of Florida/Volusia County Extension, will offer tips to get started at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St.
She will discuss plants and shelters that attract wildlife and how to add water to your landscape. She will also explain how to tolerate unwanted wildlife.
Her free presentation is part of the library’s Casual Gardening Series. Reservations are not required. For more information, call the library at 386-676-4191, option 4.
