Zach Zacharias will lead an entertaining talk featuring many of the famously peculiar people in Florida's history at 2 p.m. Friday, May 4, at the Port Orange Regional Library, 1005 City Center Circle.

Learn about Napoleon Bonaparte's nephew, Prince Achille Murat, who made Florida his permanent home after he was exiled from France, and crazy cowboy Bone Mizell, whose death certificate reads, “Moonshine – went to sleep and did not wake up.” Also featured will be soldier of fortune William Augustus Bowles and Denys Rolle of Rolles Town.

Zacharias is the senior curator of education and curator of history at the Museum of Arts & Sciences in Daytona Beach.
