Kathy Kelly, a columnist for the Daytona Beach News-Journal, will discuss her new book, “I Would Find a Girl Walking,” at 2 p.m. Monday, May 14, at the Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St.

Her presentation will follow a brief business meeting of the Friends of the Ormond Beach Library, which is sponsoring the event.

Kelly co-authored the nonfiction book with Diane Montane based on access to serial killer Gerald Stano, extensive correspondence with him, and interviews with the lead investigator and the victims' families.

Kelly began working for the Daytona Beach News-Journal in 1963 as a copy clerk while she was a senior at Mainland High School. She went on to become an award-winning police reporter and worked her way up to assistant managing editor before her retirement in 2013. She continues to write columns for the newspaper.
