Rethink reptiles

Laura Albert will present Rethink Reptiles from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at the Port Orange Regional Library, 1005 City Center Circle.

Albert, outreach coordinator for Lyonia Environmental Center, will discuss venomous vs. nonvenomous snakes, native vs. exotic species, the life history of various reptiles, sharing space with snakes, and the importance of habitat conservation. She will also review snakes as pets and bring several varieties of snakes.
