Event Date(s)

Begins: September 13, 2018 2:00 pm
Ends: September 13, 2018 3:00 pm

Retired teacher Irene Curran will share insights into Agatha Christie's life at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Port Orange Regional Library, 1005 City Center Circle.

Christie, who wrote more than 80 mystery novels, created her own mystery when she disappeared for 11 days in December 1926. Her disappearance sparked worldwide headlines and prompted an unprecedented manhunt that involved hundreds of policemen and thousands of volunteers. She was found in a spa hotel and claimed to have no memory of the previous 11 days.

Curran will discuss the disappearance along with Christie's life and novels.
