Volusia County’s Human Services office will conduct a public meeting in which participants will elect a community member to represent low-income people to serve on the Human Services Advisory Board.
The meeting will begin at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at the Lacey Family/Spring Hill Club Boys & Girls Club, 935 Adelle Ave., DeLand.
Staff will provide an overview of human services and describe the roles and responsibilities of advisory board members. Those attending each meeting will elect one person to serve on the advisory board. An alternate may also be elected to serve in the absence of the elected person if enough interest is warranted.
