Volusia County will host a public meeting to seek input on the design of Lemon Bluff Park in Osteen. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Osteen Civic Center, 165 New Smyrna Blvd., Osteen.
Tim Baylie – director of the county’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Division – will describe the site design, which includes a new boat ramp, restrooms, pavilions, a dock and a canoe/kayak launch. These improvements will provide users with new recreational amenities and greater access to the St. Johns River.
Volusia County Council Member Dr. Fred Lowry also plans to attend the meeting.
The project cost is estimated at $1.265 million. Funding comes from a 2016 ECHO grant, the Florida Boating and Improvement Fund, and the Florida Inland Navigation District.
For more information, contact Baylie at 386-736-5853 or email@example.com.
