Native plants

Event Date(s)

Begins: November 14, 2018 10:00 am
Ends: November 14, 2018 11:00 am

Native plants are a good bet for Central Florida gardeners. Because they’re custom-made for our subtropical climate, they require less water and maintenance.

Leslie Nixon will offer advice on incorporating natives into your home landscape at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St. She’ll explain why the plants are desirable and share photos and profiles of several native plants.

Nixon is a master gardener with the University of Florida/Volusia County Extension.

Her free presentation is part of the library’s Gardening Florida Style series. Reservations are not required. For information, call the library at 386-676-4191, option 4.
