Here in Central Florida, home gardeners can grow vegetables all year long. It’s already time to start planning a spring vegetable garden, which can include corn, cucumbers, tomatoes, watermelon and several kinds of beans.
Sue Valez, a master gardener with the University of Florida/Volusia County Extension, will offer tips to get you started at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at the Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St., Ormond Beach.
Her free presentation is part of the library’s Gardening Florida Style series. Reservations are not required. For more information, call the library at 386-676-4191, option 4.
