Volusia County’s Historic Preservation Board will meet at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22 at the Samsula School Community Resource Center, 1591 US 17, Seville.
Members will discuss completed work on the Burwyn Park subdivision gates, receive information on DigVentures, and be provided updates on both the Historic Courthouse markers and the Board’s most endangered properties list. The meeting is open to the public.
The Historic Preservation Board is appointed by the Volusia County Council to issue certificates of designation for eligible historic resources such as structures, archaeological sites and historic districts; and certificates of appropriateness for demolition, alteration, relocation and new construction. The board advises the County Council on matters related to historic preservation policy, including use, management and maintenance of county-owned historic resources.
