Ends: February 9, 2019 2:00 pm

Learn about the new cosplay phenomenon during a free presentation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Port Orange Regional Library, 1005 City Center Circle.

Cosplay is the practice of dressing up as a character from a movie, book or video game, especially from the Japanese genres of manga and anime.

Jaimie Engle will describe cosplay, explain how to become engaged in the culture and community, and demonstrate her own love and talent for the performance of cosplay.

Engle writes dark thrillers filled with magic, mayhem and mystery, creating cosplay unique to her fiction. She is an avid conference speaker and panelist. Her books include “Deadlands: Wolf Moon,” “Metal Mouth: Lightning Can Strike Twice” and “The Toilet Papers: Places to Go, While you Go.”

Feel free to dress as your favorite character. Registration is not required. For more information, call the library at 386-322-5152, option 4.
