Explore Egypt at the DeLand library

Historian Zach Zacharias will shed light on Egypt from its birth as a nation to the end of the Old Kingdom at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at the DeLand Regional Library, 130 E. Howry Ave.

He will discuss the Nile River, life and death, mummies, and the burial process that led to the building of the Great Pyramids. Zacharias is the senior curator of education and curator of history at the Museum of Arts & Sciences in Daytona Beach.
