Since 1993, the United Nations has observed March 22 as World Water Day. This day is meant to inspire you to reflect on the importance of water in our daily lives and also remember those who lack access to adequate drinking water supplies. We use water every day, not just to drink but to shower, wash clothes and dishes, make a cup of coffee and so many more things. Water is used in all the products we wear, consume and buy.
Learn how much water is used on a daily basis as LEC staff explains what a water footprint is and leads them through a water footprint activity. Staff will discuss ways to help conserve this valuable resource. Participants will receive a free water saving gift.
Meet at Lyonia Environmental Center, 2150 Eustace Ave., Deltona.
