Reduce stress through meditation

The holidays always seem to bring stress - some good, some bad. 

Mark Young, Ph.D., who has been meditating for over 40 years, will explain how meditation can reduce stress-related responses and improve concentration from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at the DeLand Regional Library, 130 E. Howry Ave. 

The mental health therapist, who recently retired from the University of Central Florida as a professor of counselor education, will also present a simple meditation technique that can enrich one's life and help with seasonal stress.
