Webinar to address Florida-friendly landscaping in community associations

Community association managers and homeowner association board members are invited to take part in a free webinar that will address Florida-friendly landscaping in common areas from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, May 29.
Panelists will focus on actions that can decrease landscape footprint on local water resources. They will break down terms used to describe water quality, explain how landscapes relate to surface and groundwater, provide tips to reduce pollution while creating beautiful residential environments, address legal protections, and discuss the importance of using native and Florida-friendly plants and proper irrigation maintenance.
The panelists include Jennifer Mitchell of the St. Johns River Water Management District, Joe Sewards of the University of Florida/Volusia County Extension, Jason Evans of Stetson University, Barbara Stage of the Stage Law Firm, and Wendy Anderson of the Victoria Park Homeowners Association.
Participants will receive two continuing education credits.
