To support the state’s efforts to reduce the spread of coronavirus, most Volusia County offices will reduce public office hours starting Monday, March 23, until further notice.
The temporary public access hours are:
- Mondays: 8 a.m. to noon
- Tuesdays: 1 to 5 p.m.
- Wednesday: 8 a.m. to noon
- Thursdays: 1 to 5 p.m.
- Fridays: 8 a.m. to noon
The new hours also apply to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office on the fourth floor of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center.
Residents who need to do business with the county are encouraged to use www.volusia.org or contact offices by phone or email from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some departments will provide appointment options for alternative hours.
The following county-operated sites are closed until further notice: Marine Science Center, Lyonia Environmental Center and DeBary Hall Historic Site.
Services that will continue to operate on a normal schedule, with increased sanitary precautions, include
Votran, Daytona Beach International Airport, the Tomoka Landfill and West Volusia Transfer Station.
County parks, trails and boat ramps remain open to the public.
The beach remains open, but access ramps will be closed Saturday and Sunday. A determination about further ramp closures will be made on Sunday.
Volusia County’s library system will transition to online, telephone and curbside service beginning Monday. Library cardholders are encouraged to access the library’s online digital catalog of materials.
