Master gardeners plan plant sales

Volusia County’s master gardeners have been sowing and growing all year to prepare for a series of plant sales in October. They will offer more than 1,000 perennials, butterfly plants, antique roses, shrubs and other Florida friendly plants.
To allow for social distancing, the sales will be offered by appointment only at the Volusia County Agricultural Center, 3100 E. New York Ave., DeLand, on these dates:
- 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 3
- 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8
- 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15
- 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22
- 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29
To schedule an appointment, call 352-669-4075. Shoppers must wear masks, and only three persons will be allowed during each 30-minute appointment. Payment may be made with cash or check.
