Animal Advisory Board seeks applicants

Are animals an important part of your life? Whether you're a veterinarian, humane society representative, member of a kennel club, a hunter, livestock owner or just a Volusia County resident who's passionate about animals, you might be a great fit for the Volusia County Animal Advisory Board.

The board is appointed by the Volusia County Council to make recommendations pertaining to the county's animal control ordinance, legislation and regulations. It also hears appeals on licensing problems and recommends, regulates and sets standards of procedure for the collection, care, custody and disposal of animals at-large.

Learn more and apply at and click on “list of boards.”

For information about the duties and responsibilities of this and other county advisory boards, contact Deputy Clerk Karissa Green at or 386-736-5920, ext. 12613.
