On May 17, 2012, the Volusia County Council adopted ordinance 2012-09, establishing a domestic partnership registry in Volusia County to serve the needs of persons living in committed domestic relationships.
Registered partners will be listed on Volusia County’s website (see links below) to allow entities such as healthcare facilities, correctional facilities, schools, funeral homes and cemeteries to verify an individual’s domestic partnership registration.
Registration information: Couples interested in registering a domestic partnership must come to one of the Volusia County Revenue Division offices listed. Both parties must be present to register. The ordinance allows for different options to be selected by registrants. Please read the ordinance to determine the options to be selected upon registration. A link is provided below.

Identification required: Both parties must present one form of identification in the form of: a Florida drivers license, Florida identification card, U.S. Passport, or any other document listed in the Governor’s Reference Manual for Notaries on page 10.
