Volusia County Community Assistance is launching a disaster recovery housing program opening June 8, 2019, to repair or replace homes damaged during Hurricane Matthew.
In an effort to assist homeowners whose homes were damaged during Hurricane Matthew and are still in need of repair or replacement, Volusia County Community Assistance applied for federal funds through the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) to offer the Hurricane Matthew Housing Program to Volusia County residents.
The Hurricane Matthew Housing Program is funded with a $3,426,425 Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) grant awarded through DEO and up to $200,000 in Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) funds. Both are federal funding sources.
