Local Publix pharmacies to receive COVID-19 vaccines

On Jan. 12, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the expansion of the state’s partnership with Publix to establish COVID-19 vaccination sites throughout the state. This morning, the Governor announced additional participating Publix locations, including 22 stores in Volusia County.

At this time, only healthcare personnel with direct patient contact, residents and staff in long-term healthcare facilities, and persons 65 years of age and older are eligible to receive a vaccine through Publix. All vaccinations by Publix at their select locations are by appointment only. For a list of participating locations and to make an appointment, visit www.publix.com/covid-vaccine.

The County of Volusia continues to partner with the Department of Health in Volusia County (DOH-Volusia) on COVID-19 vaccination events. Additional events will be announced as DOH-Volusia receives vaccines.

Individuals can text “VolusiaReady” to 99411 to sign up for CodeRED and receive COVID-19 vaccine updates from the County of Volusia.
