A year-and-a-half after construction began on the new Tom Staed Veterans Memorial Bridge, concrete arches rise.
As the pile driving continues, people in the area can expect to hear the continued sounds of the hammer driving the pile into the ground.
Pile driving is expected to continue for 12 months. Pile driving will occur from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Fund will be used to construct a $1.2 million Veterans Memorial Plaza, which will be built on the northwest side of the bridge.
Veterans and leaders came together for the groundbreaking of the new bridge.
