A request for burial must be made directly to Community Assistance staff who will assess if a qualification is met with supporting documentation.
If you are emergency personnel, law enforcement personnel, hospice, or hospital who is in possession of a deceased body with no information of next of kin, please contact the funeral home on current rotation. Inform them of the situation, there is no next of kin, and they'll need to be referred to the Indigent Cremation program.
