LEC: Become a Citizen Scientist: Great Backyard Bird Count

This program introduces participants to the Great Backyard Bird Count and explains how individual observations contribute to international bird data. The session includes tutorials on the Merlin and eBird apps, followed by a short hike to practice bird identification and reporting skills in preparation for the official count, scheduled for Feb. 13–16. This activity is recommended for ages 12 and up.
