LEC: Mound Road Walk at Mound Road Park

Mound Road is a recent addition to Halifax River Audubon’s regular venues and has yielded some great surprises on recent visits. It's a beautiful walk through changing habitats. From the parking lot you can also access docks that overlook the river and an expansive marsh. Prepare for a trail walk - sturdy shoes, sun screen, bug spray, hat, optics, camera, snacks if needed. Monitor conditions. There may be some wet spots after rains. Meet in the area across from the main park entrance listed above
