LEC: Invasive Air Potato Removal

10-11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21

Participants ages 12 and older can help Lyonia Environmental Center staff and volunteers remove invasive air potato vines from the property. The fast-growing vine can displace native vegetation and threaten local habitats. Trash bags, trowels and gloves will be provided, although participants may bring their own supplies. The work area may be muddy, so closedtoe shoes and clothing that can get dirty are recommended. Participants should consider using insect repellent and bring a reusable water bottle.

Lyonia Environmental Center will offer a variety of educational and family-friendly nature public programs throughout September. Reservations are required for all programs. To make a reservation, call 386-789-7207, ext. 21028, or search for Lyonia Environmental Center on www.eventbrite.com.
