LEC: Spooky Nature Trail

Event Date(s)

Begins: October 17, 2026 11:00 am
Ends: October 17, 2026 1:30 pm

11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 17

Lyonia Environmental Center and Deltona Regional Library will team up for a family-friendly Spooky Nature Trail featuring spooky stories, nature education and interactive stations. Library staff will present themed stories at 11 a.m. and noon, while trail entries will begin at 11:30 a.m. every 10 minutes. Visitors can learn about snakes, insects, plastics, plants, history and more, collecting stamps at each station to earn candy while supplies last. Costumes are encouraged but not required, and all ages are welcome. No advance registration is required. The approximately 600-foot sugar-sand trail may be too soft for strollers, and closed-toed shoes are highly recommended. The last entry is at 1:15 p.m.

Lyonia Environmental Center will offer a variety of educational and family-friendly nature public programs throughout September. Reservations are required for all programs. To make a reservation, call 386-789-7207, ext. 21028, or search for Lyonia Environmental Center on www.eventbrite.com.
