Film Permits for Volusia County Owned Properties
Volusia County requires a film permit in order to film on county-owned properties. A film permit application must be completed and submitted at least ten (10) business days in advance for commercial filming. A permit for filming is not required for news productions, still photography and public service productions. Special event insurance must be purchased.
A link to download Volusia County's film permit application may be found below. Please fill it out with as much detail as possible, including the number of crew on site, and noting whether drones or heavy equipment will be used, or if roads will need to be closed. After the application has been reviewed, the applicant will be provided insurance requirements. Once the county has approved the certificate of insurance, a hold harmless and indemnification form will be drafted and forwarded to the applicant to be reviewed and signed.
- Film permits are issued by the jurisdiction of the filming location (state, city, county or business). Please reach out to the appropriate organization or agency.
- For film permits on Volusia County owned properties (including the Historic Courthouse, Volusia County parks and roads), complete the film permit application and submit the application to Claudia Pizarro at email@example.com
