Mark Your Calendar for the Hurricane Expo

Jumpstart your hurricane preparations at the 2024 Hurricane Expo, set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the Volusia County Fairgrounds, 3100 E. New York Ave., DeLand.

The free, family-friendly event will connect residents with businesses and emergency providers who can help them prepare for extreme weather situations.

This includes vendors with expertise in a variety of specialties related to storm readiness, such as:

  • Storm shutters and impact windows
  • Tree maintenance
  • Water damage
  • Roofing and gutters

The expo will also feature live safety demonstrations, educational presentations, dozens of hurricane-related exhibits, and free food.

The expo is sponsored by Volusia County Emergency Management, Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD), and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida. For information on sponsorships and vendor space, email COAD at coadvolusia@gmail.com.
