Groundbreaking Ceremony set for Veterans Memorial Plaza
Posted On: May 30, 2024
Volusia County loves veterans! In its latest show of respect, the County will break ground on the new Veterans Memorial Plaza on the northwest base of the Tom Staed Veterans Memorial Bridge in Daytona Beach. County officials will join local veterans groups for a groundbreaking ceremony at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 20, and we hope you'll join us.
The picturesque plaza will honor Volusia County veterans with tributes to each service branch, a seating area, and a memorial for fallen heroes. It will also provide a location for local veterans groups to host military ceremonies and celebrations.
